We are now in the fall real estate season and the Minnetonka real estate market is showing no signs of slowing down. Multiple offers are still the norm with mortgage interest rates at historic lows and no sign of going up any time soon.
We are still dealing with Covid-19 concerns however Realtors continue to do business, just differently. Clients are asked to drive separately to showings and wear masks. Showings are limited to 15-30 minutes per showing and only one set of buyers is allowed in the home at a time. I am using virtual tours more and more to sell homes which allows my buyers the opportunity to view the property on their PC to determine if they wish to tour the home in person or make an offer sight unseen. Yes, I have written sight unseen purchase agreements and yes, they have successfully closed! Real estate closings have also changed, only those essential (Buyers and Sellers) to the transaction can attend. Mortgage Bankers and Realtors are asked not to attend. Sellers typically pre-sign the closing documents and the buyers come into closing later that day to sign or each party is in separate closing rooms during the closing.
As always, if you have an interest in Buying or Selling and/or if you have any questions, please Call, Text or Email me.
