We used Minnetonka Realty to both sell a home and purchase a new home. We were able to take advantage of Tom’s years of experience and knowledge of the dynamic real estate market in both situations and had total trust and confidence in him.
When we sold our home, we were presented a complete market analysis and from that, we were in complete agreement with his suggested selling price. Additionally, he offered advice on how to stage the home to best highlight its positive features and he suggested small repairs and updates we might want to make that might make the home more pleasing to a buyer. We were always kept informed of the feedback from the showings and felt the sale of our home was his priority also.
When we purchased our new home with Tom we were very impressed with his creative approach to finding our perfect place. We had targeted a neighborhood we really liked and Tom then canvassed the neighborhood, distributing flyers to the homes which appeared to meet our criteria, and simply asked if the homeowner was considering selling anytime in the near future. From this effort we received two showings of homes there were not even on the market.
During the process of showing us potential homes, he always did so with the mechanics and construction of the house in mind, pointing out both the good features and things that were either a problem or a potential problem in the future. We felt he was really in tune to what we were looking for in a house and was as patient as we were to find the perfect place. When that place did hit the market, he spotted the new listing right away in the morning and immediately went to look at it himself. Knowing how rapidly homes were selling, he described the home to us over the phone as he was walking through and suggested we come take a look ourselves at lunchtime. This home happened to be the one for us and so we quickly drew up an offer and he presented it early that evening. We later found out that another party saw the home a few hours after us and had made a contingent offer. We felt fortunate that we had acted so quickly.
We definitely would recommend Minnetonka Realty to anyone looking to buy or sell a home and will use Tom’s services again ourselves when we have the need. The services and expertise he offered was far above our expectation.
